What activities are there?

Each month we hold a variety of activities for you and your children. Parents Without Partners members can attend "Family", "Adult", "Educational" activities as well as "Bulletin" events and "Amigo Parties".

What do these mean?

Family Activities

Family activities are fun for parents and children. An adult must accompany children (unless otherwise noted for a particular event). Members are welcome to attend family activities with or without their children, and grandparents may bring their grandchildren to activities. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed at family activities.

Adult Activities

Adult activities help parents unwind and share time with other adults. Some of these events may permit alcoholic beverages (bring your own), but remember that over-indulging will make you an unwelcome member at our functions. Members are asked to conduct themselves in a responsible manner. No children are allowed at Adult Activities.

Educational Activities

These are educational or support focused events. They are primarily for adults. To assure single parents can attend, children are usually welcome. Activities may not be provided for the kids, so please prepare them for this.

Amigo Parties

An Amigo Party is an enjoyable mix of games, music, conversation, or refreshments. It is a good opportunity to acquaint people in an informal, casual atmosphere. Dating at house parties is discouraged. Bring a snack to share. Dress is usually casual.

Bulletin Activities

Events to which members and non-members can attend. The host will advise if the event is for adults or family.

All members have the opportunity to submit suggestions
for hosting activities and upcoming events.

When you join, you will have access to the "Member's Only" Forum area where you can view the Events and Activities Calendar with descriptions and locations of activities, interact with other members online and download the monthly newsletter (mailed on request).

Membership cards are required at all PWP functions. Be prepared to show your card and remember to sign in on the attendance sheet. A dated receipt can be used until your receive your membership card.

We think you'll agree that PWP will transform what can often be a difficult time of adjustment into an exciting turning point in your life. We are here to help single parents help themselves.

Thank You for finding us online.
We hope to see you soon at our next orientation.
